Books, Bears, Worry Worms & Blankets
What are Burden Bears & Worry Worms?
Lovingly created, the Burden Bears come in a variety of colours.
Children receive these wonderful little creatures while providing comfort and bringing a smiles!
Burden Bears are especially comforting. They have “No eyes to judge you nor a mouth to tell your secrets. Just ears to hear you and arms to hug you! ” .
Each child also receives this poem with their Worry Worm. “I’m a little Worry Worm. Hold me tight but not too firm. I’ll take your worries one by one. When the sun goes down I should be done. Think only happy thoughts and dream a dream or two. Knowing that I will be near your heart, I’ll forever be with you. I’m not lost, just all alone. If I’ve made you smile, please take me home.”
We are grateful to our members for providing the books, bears and blankets. Your continuing support of our Communities is the foundation of our organization.
